Have you seen the new cheese we are selling from the Grass Roots Org Dairy Company?
You might know that not all of our milk is sold as Proper Good Dairy. In fact, most of it is sold to the Organic Milk Suppliers Co operative (OMSCo), along with milk from about 200 other organic farmers across the country. From there it is sold as liquid milk, and made into organic cheese, butter and yogurt, under brands including Yeo Valley and Wyke Farms, as well as supermarket own brand organic milk, cheese and butter.
From earlier this year, it has also been made into organic cheddar, under the brand Grass Roots Dairy Co, owned by OMSCo, which is exclusively available through farm shops, delis and independent retailers. We have it for sale here in our vending machine at the farm and it is also available through a number of our stockists across Shropshire and Herefordshire. Available in mild, mature and extra mature flavours, it has been a big success so far and we think the mature flavour is really tasty. For a list of our stockists, click here
