Changes Coming to Our Milk Vending Machines
As many of you know, Proper Good Dairy started with a simple idea: make fresh, organic milk accessible to everyone. Our milk vending machines have been a big part of that mission, allowing customers to fill their own reusable bottles and enjoy the taste of real milk, straight from the farm.
However, as our business has evolved, so have our priorities. That's why we've made the tough decision to remove our milk vending machines from the following locations at the end of January:
Vine & Co
Hignetts
Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre
Shrewsbury Market Hall
We know this might be disappointing news for some of our loyal vending machine users, and we truly appreciate your support over the years. But don't worry! You can still find our delicious organic milk in glass bottles at all of these locations. If you already have one of our glass bottles that you've been refilling at the vending machine, simply bring it to the shop and exchange it for a fresh, filled bottle.
Why are we making this change?
There are a few reasons behind this decision:
Rising Costs: Maintaining and servicing vending machines, especially those further afield, has become increasingly expensive.
Streamlining Our Business: Our bottled milk business has grown significantly. This change allows us to focus our resources and improve efficiency.
Improving Our Service: By focusing on bottled milk, we can increase delivery efficiencies, reduce waste, and improve the shelf life of our milk.
A Look Back (and Forward!)
When we started Proper Good Dairy just over 5 years ago, we never imagined we'd be where we are today. Our vending machines were the heart of our business, and we wouldn't be here without them. But sometimes, businesses take unexpected turns!
We're incredibly grateful for all the support we've received, and we're excited to continue providing the freshest, highest-quality milk to our community.
Where can you still find our milk?
Our vending machine at Hatton Farm will remain in operation, and you can find our milk in reusable glass bottles at over 50 stockists across Shropshire, Staffordshire and Herefordshire.
